Frequently Asked Questions about IV Hydration

How does IV hydration work?

Intravenous (IV) fluid infusions deliver a combination of saline along with vitamins, medication and/or supplements directly into the bloodstream.  This method has a much faster and better absorption rate in the body than taking oral vitamins and fluid when you need a quick boost or your body is in "recovery mode".  Often times it takes your body several days to recover from a night on the town or a big race, but with IV hydration your recovery time is almost immediate!

Is it safe?

Safety is our top priority. RevIVe Drip will always have an initial assessment with a medical provider prior to any infusion.  Our Nurse Practitioner will discuss treatment goals and come up with a recommended plan of care that is customized just for you!  Our team will monitor you during the entire infusion to ensure you are safe and comfortable.

Does it hurt?

IV hydration requires placing a small needle with a flexible catheter in a vein.  The needle is removed, leaving the catheter in the vein to administer the infusion.  Our experienced team is very skilled in placing IVs.  We even have ultrasound technology to assist in placing difficult IVs!

How long does it take?

IV hydration therapies are quick!  It will often take 45 minutes depending on your hydration status and therapy needs.

What are the benefits of an IV infusion?

When receiving fluids and vitamin treatments through an IV, it allows the nutrients to be absorbed quickly and directly into the bloodstream.  The absorption rate is much higher than if taken orally.  Benefits include instant hydration, immunity boost, electrolyte replacement and more symptom management relief.

Where does it take place?
